TEACHING AIDS FOR THE MECHANICAL TRADES
Developed in our school to train the second year students how to hook up their hoses for reclaim, charging, and vacuum. Perfect for describing and practicing the charging and evac processes when you’re in a large group or not able to get outside to demonstrate.

A collection of fittings to layout many basic residential bathrooms with 1/4” PEX-B. This is the smallest diameter size we offer, and it represents 2” in the complete set, but can represent any size you want in this model. We have PDFs of many bathroom layouts that you can print and practice with. Our journeymen use these to lay out the same bathroom three different ways and talk through their approaches with the apprentices. Sturdy and reusable, the kit comes with:

This link will have our current bathroom layout practice sheets, ranging from basic residential half-baths to commercial gang baths.
Known in our program as the Box of Pain, this box and fittings kit is marked to make practicing offset calculations easy to visualize. With four inches of horizontal span and two inches of vertical, the apprentices will have plenty of combinations to practice without wasting a bunch of room on trainers and pipe.

6× 6” sections of 1/4” PEXB to cut, and you can get more at the supply house for super cheap when you need.
The constant to subtract for each fitting is printed right on it so there’s nothing to look up. Group assignments could be to pipe from A3 to K1 once you get into rolling offsets.
Could be combined with our 2” Basic DWV kit if you wanted, it’s the same size pipe. All parts are reusable, no gluing required.
