Screw compressor with slide valve to demonstrate unloading and a turning knob to show the rotor motion. Made of PLA plastic in a handheld size. We give each of our apprentices a set of compressor models in second year to aid in the discussion about function, RPMs, and potential failure modes.
A collection of fittings to layout many basic residential bathrooms with 1/4” PEX-B. This is the smallest diameter size we offer, and it represents 2” in the complete set, but can represent any size you want in this model. We have PDFs of many bathroom layouts that you can print and practice with. Our journeymen use these to lay out the same bathroom three different ways and talk through their approaches with the apprentices. Sturdy and reusable, the kit comes with:
72 Fittings total
17 Different types
6× 6” sections of white Pex-B that you can cut as needed
Storage case
7 pipe stands for stability and setting fall
This link will have our current bathroom layout practice sheets, ranging from basic residential half-baths to commercial gang baths.
A zipped folder with .step and .3mf files for you to 3d print and assemble. Each model comes with assembly notes and is provided with a Creative Commons CC BY-NC 4.0 license (full text). You are free to print and distribute to your friends and students, but not to sell the prints.
